Almost everyday we can here about a worse accident hapen on the road. This is a usual scenario that always hapen in our beloved country Malayia. The question is, why all of this will be hapen. It is because of the car? or it is because of the design of the road? or this is because of the attitude of malaysian drivers?

Here i will show u some of the accident picture that have happen in December 2008. Thinks about it and leaf ur comment why all that hapen in our road. I will try to share the statistic of road accident as soon as posible.......

INDEX1980-1998

The Public Safety Index declined during the period from 78.4 points in 1980 to 72.1 points in 1998, mainly due to an increase in road accidents, while changes in the crime rate were constant except in 1985-1986 and 1997-1998, coinciding with the period of economic downturn.(______public safety)

The economic factor have shown ability to produce an effect for a crime index in a 1985-1986 and 1997 - 1998. Have a few reason why economic downturn give a impact for a crime index and make it worse. When economic downturn, inflation will attack a malaysian economic. It's give a bad impact for a Malaysia social life. People will lose their job because of company cannot running the business. All that make Quality Life of Malayisan people make it worse and worse. Because all of the factor above make the crime rate grow and a quality of life will turn down.

Malaysian as a development country have take many workers from outside like Indonesian, Bangladesh, Nepal and etc. Foreign workers that coming to illegaly to work in Malaysia will contribute a crime problem, for example:robbery, kidnap, snatch thief and etc.

Crimes per thousand population increased from 5.3 in 1980 to 7.2 in 1998, while the average crime rate for the 19-year period was only 4.7. For the period 1980-1989, the average crime rate was 5.1, as compared to 3.8 for the period 1990-1996, indicating an overall decline in crime rate during the period of strong economic growth. Crime rate however, rose to 5.6 and 7.2 in 1997 and 1998 respectively during the period of economic slowdown.(________public safety)

THE MEANINGS OF

Public safety actually have two main component in a index of Quality of Life. The first component is a Crime Rate and a Road Accident. This two component are a very important to be ensure for a social peace and stability in our country to make sure a public can live safety and comfortable.

The crime rate was measured as per thousand population while road accidents were measured as per thousand vehicles. In Malaysia crime rate and road accident is a two thing are have show use the incresing of number of case every years. The index will be show in a another writing thet will be discus about a increse rate of that two component.

From a books Crime Control and Comunity, the author said, public safety is a challenge for a policymaker to question the possiblity of learning from and tranferring practice among diverse localities.
